Meet Dean

A second act, built one link at a time.

Dean spent his career in law enforcement along the Florida coast. When that chapter closed, his wife set out to buy him a watch. Nothing felt right.

So he did. Along the way he found the world of independent watchmakers, and a community that welcomed him in. David Dean carries his name because every decision in it is his.

The RCC initiative

RCC is the mental-health and community-support initiative of David Dean Watch Co. It was created around a simple idea: connection matters.

We may not always know what someone is carrying. But we can remember the people who matter, stay connected to the people around us, and help one another continue forward.

Why RCC exists

It can affect anyone.

Mental-health struggles can affect anyone, regardless of age, profession, income, background, or how strong someone may appear.

Men’s mental health is especially important to us, but RCC is broader than any one group.

How RCC works

Find the work. Fund the need.

RCC is an initiative of David Dean Watch Co. It is not a separate nonprofit organization. David Dean Watch Co. provides the funding behind RCC.

$10from every David Dean watch sold goes to RCC. A fixed amount, set aside for RCC Impact Grants.

We identify and vet smaller, credible, boots-on-the-ground nonprofits already doing meaningful work in mental health, suicide prevention and community support. Organizations selected for support may receive RCC Impact Grants for specific needs, programs or projects.

As RCC develops, volunteer oversight will help review organizations and funding opportunities. Recipient organizations are never required to promote David Dean Watch Co. or endorse our products.
